Chester is located in the rolling hills of the Okemo Valley Region at the crossroads of Routes 11 & 103, nestled between two branches of the Williams River. The town, which has been repeatedly rated as one of the top ten most beautiful in Vermont, is famous for its historic homes and churches: the Stone Village Historic District is a unique village crafted from local granite, the Main Village is known for its Victorian architecture.


Driving Directions​

The Inn & Shoppe are centrally located on the Village Green in Chester. We are on Main Street which is Route 11. Chester is just 8 miles SW of Springfield, VT, and 12 miles NW of Bellows Falls, VT, both on Interstate 91.


From the WEST and SOUTH: NY State Thruway to Albany (Exit 23), Route 787 North, NY 7 East through Troy to Bennington, VT, U.S. 7 North (22 miles), Exit 4 in Manchester, then Route 11 East (28 miles) to Chester. The Inn is on the left.

From the SOUTH and EAST: Interstate 91 to Vermont Exit 6, Rockingham, then NW on Route 103, 10 miles west to Chester. Do NOT turn right when 103 turns in Chester, continue straight on Main Street. The Inn is on the right, across the street from the Village Green.

The Amtrak Vermonter stops in nearby Bellows Falls. Our nearest airports are Rutland, VT (26 miles) and Lebanon, NH (29 miles).
