Chester Featured "Yankee" Magazine |
The village of Chester, Vermont, was featured in the article "O Little Towns of Vermont" in the November/December 2008 issue of "Yankee" magazine. The article highlights things to do and see in Chester, especially around the holiday
season, and the Hugging Bear Inn and Shoppe is highlighted as one of the places to shop. In part: "Chester (population 3,044) sits at the confluence of three state routes
(five major roads all together). In winter, cars stream by heading north to Okemo Mountain. Few stop. If they did, they'd likely discover why Chester residents call their town "the Vermont you've been hoping to find." |

"Moonlight & Mistletoe" Filmed In Chester |
The Hallmark Channel movie "Moonlight & Mistletoe" was filmed in Chester in the summer of 2008. The front of the Hugging Bear Inn was decorated as Santa Claus' house and shown in the film. Main Street, especially the Fullerton Inn across the street, was prominently featured in many
scenes as well. "Moonlight & Mistletoe," which stars
Tom Arnold and Candace Cameron Bure, premiered on the Hallmark Channel on November 29, 2008, and will hopefully
become a regular holiday classic. Watch the film and then come to Chester and visit locations from the movie. |
