Autumn Steiff Party
See the latest new products from Steiff right here at the Inn! Peruse the Teddy Bear shop in the morning. Refreshments will be served at noon and the presentation begins at 1pm. Steiff Representative Adrienne Burley will preview Steiff teddy bears and limited editions for 2010. Many Steiff collectibles, toys and teddy bears to see and buy in the Shoppe. There will also be discounts, refreshments and door prizes. Free to all! Please RSVP 1-800-325-0519 to let us know that you will be attending and reserve your goody bag! A special rate is available for any who come and stay at the Inn!

Annual Chester Street Fair
This popular annual event is held on the Chester Village Green. Dozens of area crafts people offer their creations for show and sale. Not your typical craft fair by any means! Everything from artwork to clothing to home furnishings. The annual "Sale on the Green" in Chester is ready for another great show of craft exhibiting. A wide array of handmade craft and gift items from some of Vermont's most respected crafters including Jewelry, Knitted Items, Engraved Slate, Folk Art, Candles, Natural Soap, Quilting, Ornaments, Wood Miniatures, Silk Scarves, Toys, Clothes, Stained Glass, Ceramics, Clocks, Crocheted Items, Dolls, Dog Accessories, Maple Syrup, Bird Houses, and more. Delicious foods will be provided by local organizations and schools. The Hugging Bear Inn will host several Teddy Bear Artists on our front lawn on Saturday!

The Big Buzz Chainsaw Carving Festival in Chester, VT
Chainsaw Carvers from around the country will be gathering together to show their skills for this week-long event. Chester Artist Barre Pinske is hosting the event. Carvers will work together in teams on an 8' bear carving that will be auctioned off Sunday afternoon with 100% of the proceeds going to fight cancer. Quick carve events will be held Friday and Saturday afternoon where carvers create complete works in one hour. These works will be auctioned off after the carvings are completed. Proceeds from the quick carves go to support the artists and the event.
